Cupid's Gavotte, with music and steps by George F. Walters, was
published in 1915 with a cover image, shown at left, blatantly stolen
from Vernon and Irene Castle. Despite the illustration, it is
intended as a solo for a girl or a group of four or eight girls. This
sort of "fancy dance" or recital piece was popular in dance schools in
the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
