French Renaissance Revels: Dances from Arbeau
Enjoy the lively dances recorded by Thoinot Arbeau in 1589. The
evening consists primarily of branles, in the form of lines, circles,
or mixers. All branles are taught on the spot. A gentle pavane and,
for more experienced groups, lively improvised galliards may be mixed
in as well. Can work with live musicians or provide recorded music.
